THE TIDE COUNTRY

Sunderbans - "the beautiful forest" - an archipelago of islands with no boarders to divide river from sea, land from water. Mighty waterways, wide enough to make other shore as almost invisible, meeting together to push the landscape and forest in to a dwindling land far off. Land of Tides, where everyday thousands of acres of forest is submerging & again hours later re-emerging with new shape. Mangrove forest, with no towering trees, no floral decor, no ferns, with tough & leathery sundari leaves creating dense foliage. Every year dozens of people perish due to man-eaters in this hostile forest. Yet man and man-eaters continue to co-exist.  - a country of MYSTERIES
